SnehaTheeram KK koottayma has organized an eye camp for BPL ration card holders in Thirparappu on 10 Sep 2023.

Financial support to conduct this eye camp was granted by H&R block (a financial services MNC company) as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding

A 20 member Medical team from Ahalya eye foundation hospital was invited to conduct the eye tests

Outcome:

1. 250 people from BPL families walked in and tested their eye 
2. Cataract surgery was done for 12 people completely free of cost
3. 140 spectacles were distributed to eligible people completely free of cost
4. Apart from cataract issues ,people diagnosed with other eye ailments were also given consultation with free medicines and eye drops.

Total estimated amount spend by H&R block for this eye camp is estimated to be around rs 6 lakhs
